Soothemade is a small studio that makes things, mostly paper things, for the long, mostly-unphotographed parts of a life. The 3 a.m. parts. The Tuesday-with-nothing-planned parts. The recovery month. The hour before anyone else is up.

What we make is not a system. It is not a productivity hack. It is not a routine designed by someone who has never had a quiet week. It is a handful of small, considered objects you can use through a season and then put down when it is over.

The rooms in the house

Soothemade is a master brand. Each line is a different room in the same house, same voice, same hands, different season of a life. Right now one room is open: Soothemade Notes, for new parents. The other rooms, for the home cook, for the solo worker, for the long traveler, are still being made. Slowly. By the same people.

You can see them on the lines page. When a new room opens, the easiest way to hear about it is the letter.

What we mean by "made slowly"

We mean the kind of slow that a tomato is. The kind of slow that a recovery is. The kind of slow that learning anything actually is, before somebody sold you a course that promised otherwise. We make one thing at a time. We finish it. We make the next one.

Each product is researched, voiced, designed, and read end-to-end by a human before it ships. The tools we use to make them faster are tools, the way a sewing machine is a tool. They do not write your letter and they do not decide what you need.

What this is not

Where the name comes from

It is soothe plus -made. It rhymes with "homemade" because that is the register. The things in this shop are made, slowly, by hand, with the unphotographed days in mind.

One letter, sometimes two, a month.
